Marines complete two annual assessments: the PFT (pull-ups or push-up option, forearm plank, 3-mile run) and the CFT (Movement to Contact, Ammunition Can Lifts, Maneuver Under Fire). Scoring is age- and sex-normed with class categories (1st, 2nd, 3rd Class).
