Foreign Language Proficiency Bonus (FLPB)

Monthly bonus paid to members who demonstrate proficiency (via DLPT or OPI) in a language designated by their Service, up to statutory limits ($1,000/month for a single language, $1,500/month aggregate).

• Members meeting the Service's language and proficiency requirements.

1. 1Take the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) or Oral Proficiency Interview through your Service.
2. 2Submit results per Service policy for FLPB payment.
